Introduction

Mentoring is a cost effective way to connect immigrants to established professionals in the same or related occupation. Mentoring has proven very effective for the settlement and integration of immigrants and refugees.

Programs vary in their goals and in their approach; for example, one goal may be expanding social networks. Another common goal is expanding professional networks so that mentees may increase their chances of finding a job in their field.
